Pride Athletics

Head football coach Mike DeLong ’74 became the 19th coach in the history of Division III football to reach 200 career victories when he led Springfield College to a 20-17 victory over Union on October 3 on Stagg Field.

Alumni Honored for Distinguished Service

Springfield College annually recognizes alumni who, by their service to Springfield College (Tarbell Medallion) and to their professions and communities (Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna and Young Alumnus/Alumna awards), live out the Humanics philosophy. Dr. Smalls grew up in Kingstree, S.C. One of eight children, she worked long hours in the tobacco and cotton fields for her sharecropping parents, both of whom had a grade school education but dreams their children would rise. She lived that dream, getting a PhD in public administration and becoming campus director of the Springfield College School of Continuing and Professional Studies in Charleston.
